Privacy Policy

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We use Google Sign-In for authentication only — we do not receive your Google password.
• Warranty information you provide. The product, brand, category, purchase date, warranty end date, and any notes you add to each warranty.
• Receipt images. Photos or files of receipts you upload, which stay private to your account.
• Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
• Basic usage data. Privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics about how the site and app are used, to help us improve them.

• Provide, maintain, and improve the service.
• Read warranty details from the receipts you upload, so you can review and save them.
• Add warranty expiry events to your Google Calendar, only if you choose to connect it.
• Manage your subscription and send you essential account notices.
• Respond to your support requests.

When you scan a receipt, the image is processed by third-party AI services — optical character recognition to read the text, and a language model to extract the warranty details (brand, product, purchase date, and warranty length). The extracted result is pre-filled for you to review and edit before it is saved. You are always in control of what is stored.

We share information with service providers only to the extent needed to run Slipcrate:

• Google — sign-in, receipt text recognition, and (optional) Google Calendar sync.
• Supabase — secure database and private file storage for your warranties and receipts.
• Lemon Squeezy — subscription checkout, billing, and invoices.
• An AI model provider — extracting warranty details from receipt text.

Each provider processes your data only to deliver its part of the service, under its own terms.

Google Calendar sync is optional and separate from signing in. If you connect it, we request only the minimum permission needed to create and update your warranty events, and we never read your other calendar data. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from your account settings, and your Google sign-in is unaffected.

Your data is stored securely with our infrastructure providers, and your receipts are kept private to your account. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

• Export your warranties to a CSV file at any time from your account settings.
• Disconnect Google Calendar at any time.
• Manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal.
• Request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us at [email protected].

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove it except where we are required to keep it for legal or billing reasons.

Slipcrate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
